hiragana

It is fun to learn hiragana.

As I wrote last time, it was assumed that letters were written with a brush, so you should write with a brush.

That you can understand how to write well.

To write well and fast, remember the stroke order.

You should refer to this.

katakana first ?

Hiragana is the most common character used in Japanese sentences.
But why do I recommend you to learn katakana first?

Katakana is currently used to write foreign words such as English.
So if you understood the resentment, it was useful directly.

アメリカ = a-me-ri-ka = America
バス = ba-su = bus
チケット = ti-ke-tu-to = Ticket
ビール = bi-ru = beer
ショップ = sho-ppu = shop

Hiragana is the most common character used in Japanese sentences.
But during the WW-II, katakana was somehow mainstream.
Therefore, we can read only katakana texts.

In general, it is said that Katakana and Hiragana were created by breaking the kanji.
However, there are people who think that Katakana is the most ancient Japanese character since ancient times.

Some people think that the Japanese are "Ten Lost Tribes of Israel"
It seems that Katakana is very similar to the ancient Hebrew notation.
Oriental characters, like kanji, are easy to write with a brush.
So, as you can see by writing with a brush, kanji and hiragana are easy to write with a brush, but katakana is difficult to write.
So, I don't think katakana broke the kanji.

Furthermore, it is speculated that hiragana was formed first, and next is katakana,
There is no explanation why it was necessary to make two sets.

Difficulties in learning Japanese

It is said that it is difficult to learn Japanese because of the large number of characters.

It is said that there was no character in ancient Japan.
Of course there was a language.

So the Japanese imported characters from China.
This is kanji.

This is why there are two ways to read Japanese kanji.
Chinese reading. "ondoku"
Example
花(flower) "ka"

This is a kanji that has been adapted to Japanese traditional reading. "kundoku"
Example
花(flower) "Hana"

However, as you can see, kanji is not suitable for shorthand.
Therefore, it is said that hiragana and katakana were created by breaking the kanji.

Should we learn hiragana or katakana?
Both are better than remembering.
I recommend learning the fun one first.

Hiragana is most often used in Japanese sentences.
But, I think it would be more practical to learn katakana.

How to speak Japanese?

It is said that it is difficult to learn Japanese.
However, it is also said to be the easiest language to speak.

Look at the following Japanese structure.
https://www.facebook.com/hnbot/posts/1299939963394615

It's very simplified, but not wrong. This is enough.

There is no singular or plural.
There are no female or masculine nouns.

It's a very simple and clear language.

How to communicate with Japanese people? - at Travel

You don't have to study Japanese to go to Japan.

Japanese have been learning English for at least 3 years. Many people learn for 8 years.
Therefore, Japanese can understand approximate English.
However, what is difficult for Japanese is native pronunciation.

For those who grew up in English-speaking countries, speak in the syntax you learned in kindergarten or elementary school.
And speak slowly.
Just talk to your kids.

Another important thing is that vowels and consonants are used differently in English and Japanese.
Close to German and Latin pronunciation.
By adding vowels, the Japanese can understand better.

Example
station  --->  s (u) -t (e) -i-shyon
apple  --->  a- (tu) -p (u) -r (u)

Nouns can use English.
If it ’s not bad slang, we can understand.

why?
Why can't Japanese speak English? I studied English for 8 years.

That's because Japanese don't have to deal with foreigners.

Japan is self-contained, there is no need to speak a foreign language.
Japanese people can live without using English until they die after leaving school.
